Welcome to Shadow Self. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shadow Self mobile application (the "App") provided by UKGADGETS LTD ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Shadow Self is an educational and self-exploration application designed to help users explore shadow work concepts, Jungian psychology, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy principles. The App provides:

• Educational content about shadow work and psychology (Shadow School)
• Interactive dialogue experiences with shadow part archetypes
• Archetype assessment and personality exploration
• Guided meditations for emotional healing and integration
• Mirror work exercises for self-reflection
• Dream symbol dictionary and dream journaling
• Emotional trigger tracking and pattern analysis
• Progress tracking and integration journey milestones

Shadow Self is NOT a substitute for professional mental health treatment.

The App is designed for educational and self-exploration purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content and features of the App should not be used as a replacement for consultation with qualified healthcare professionals.

If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, suicidal thoughts, or psychological distress, please seek help from a licensed mental health professional, contact a crisis helpline, or visit your nearest emergency room.

By using the App, you acknowledge that:

• The App is an educational tool, not a therapeutic service
• We are not licensed therapists or mental health providers
• You are responsible for your own mental health decisions
• Use of the App does not create a therapist-client relationship

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

Shadow Self offers the following subscription options:

• Weekly Subscription: $4.99 per week, billed weekly with automatic renewal
• Annual Subscription: $29.99 per year, billed annually with automatic renewal

Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency before purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time, with changes taking effect for new subscribers or at the next renewal period for existing subscribers.

4.2 Free Tier

Shadow Self offers a free tier that includes:

• Module 1 of Shadow School (5 lessons on Introduction to Shadow Work)
• Dialogue with 2 shadow parts (Inner Critic and Wounded Child)
• Select guided meditations
• One mirror work session
• Unlimited trigger tracking
• Full dream analyzer access
• Complete archetype assessment

4.3 Premium Features

Premium subscribers receive access to:

• All 16 Shadow School lessons across 4 modules
• All 11 shadow part dialogue experiences
• 50+ guided meditations
• All mirror work sessions
• Full integration journey tracking

4.4 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription management settings:

• iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Shadow Self > Cancel Subscription
• Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Shadow Self > Cancel Subscription

Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

4.6 Refunds

Refunds are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund:

• Android: Contact Google Play support through the Google Play Store

5. User Conduct

By using the App, you agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security features or usage limitations
• Share your subscription access with others or use the App on behalf of others
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App
• Use automated scripts or bots to access or interact with the App
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the App, including journal entries, dialogue responses, dream logs, and other personal data. This content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

6.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App ("Feedback"), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into our products and services without any obligation to compensate you.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

The App and its contents, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to UKGADGETS LTD and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

This includes:

• Shadow School educational content and lessons
• Shadow part dialogue scripts and responses
• Archetype assessment questions and descriptions
• Guided meditation scripts and audio
• Dream symbol dictionary content
• App design, user interface, and user experience
• The Shadow Self name, logo, and branding

7.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to:

• Modify, copy, or create derivative works based on the App
• Sell, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its content
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App's content for any purpose other than personal use

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

You acknowledge that shadow work and psychological exploration can bring up difficult emotions. You use the App at your own risk and discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL UKGADGETS LTD, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any psychological or emotional distress arising from use of the App

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UKGADGETS LTD and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of a third party
• Any content you create or submit through the App

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease
• All provisions of these Terms that should survive termination shall survive
• You will not be entitled to any refund of subscription fees

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting the App from your device and cancelling any active subscriptions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms in the App or on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and UKGADGETS LTD regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
